Anthony Wint Calls Out Sean Sharaf After 23-Second KO at UFC 332
Wint pushed to 9-0 with a 23-second finish in Salt Lake City, then immediately asked for the man who stunned Gable Steveson. His pitch: give Sharaf another chance to prove the doubters wrong.

Anthony Wint didn't waste any time Saturday — not in the cage, not on the mic. The undefeated heavyweight blitzed Lucas Armand in 23 seconds at UFC 332, pushing his pro record to 9-0 (6 KO, 2 SUB), then used his post-fight interview to ask for the division's hottest name: Sean Sharaf.
Sharaf is the guy who, just one event earlier at UFC 331, iced blue-chip prospect Gable Steveson in the first round — a result that dropped the former Olympic wrestler to 4-1 and turned Sharaf into an overnight talking point. Wint wants that fight, and he wants it on the biggest card of the year.
The Pitch
Speaking to reporters later in the evening, Wint framed the callout as everything at once — opportunity, respect and a sales job. He said he'd love to land on the Nov. 14 show in New York despite the short notice, and he made a point of insisting there's no bad blood. Wint recalled that Sharaf gave him a ride from the Performance Institute to his hotel, and the two had a genuine conversation about Sharaf's journey.
The hook is simple: Wint thinks he's the better fighter, and he thinks plenty of people agree. He acknowledged Sharaf has the power to put him out, but argued that's exactly what makes the matchup sell — a new star with a loud fan base against a 9-0 prospect telling him to his face he can be beaten. Wint called it the business of sport and the business of show, and he's not wrong that it's a clean narrative.
The Hokit Question
Landing on that New York card would put Wint in the same building as Josh Hokit, who headlines UFC 334 against top-ranked Ciryl Gane for heavyweight gold. Gane (14-2, fresh off a second-round KO of Alex Pereira) is the division's established hand; Hokit is another fast-rising ex-football player whose antics have carried him up the ladder.
Wint, who shares that gridiron background, admitted the comparisons to Hokit are constant — he said nearly every conversation about him is either Hokit or, before that, Steveson. He wished Hokit well and declined to picture a face-off, but warned he's sharp enough on the mic to hold his own if it comes to it. For now, his focus is narrower: give Sharaf a stage, and take it from him.
