BoHyun Park Grinds Out Abdueva to Reach Road To UFC Strawweight Final

BoHyun Park is one win away from a UFC contract. The 27-year-old South Korean opened the Road To UFC Season 5 semifinals in Shanghai on August 28 by outworking Farida Abdueva, pushing her win streak to six and her professional record to 10-3 in the process.

It wasn't a highlight-reel finish, but it didn't need to be. Park took the decision on the scorecards and claimed the first spot in the strawweight final, where she'll wait on the winner of Meng Bo versus Machi Fukuda later on the same card.

How the Fight Went

The early exchanges belonged to Abdueva. In a technical striking battle fought largely at range, she landed the cleaner, sharper shots through the opening round and looked the more comfortable of the two on the feet.
