Contender Series Week 4: 15 Contracts Down, DWCS Record in Reach

Dana White's Contender Series is halfway to something historic. Through three weeks of Season 10, every single winner has walked out with a UFC deal — 15 fighters, 15 contracts, no snubs. Do that two more weeks and the show ties its own record of 46 contracts, a mark shared by Seasons 7 and 9.

That's a serious bar. The Season 7 and 9 graduating classes produced current names like featherweight Jean Silva (17-3, #6 in the world), unbeaten heavyweight Josh Hokit (10-0, now ranked #4), plus Payton Talbott, Carles Prates and Mauricio Ruffy. Week 4 lands Tuesday at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas with five more pairs trying to force their way onto that list.

The Welterweight Main Event

Patrick Rivera headlines against England's Adam Darby, and the tale of the tape is a study in question marks. Rivera, 34, rolls in on a six-fight streak with three straight finishes and a 13-4 record out of Baltimore's Crazy 88 — the gym that produced UFC vet Matthew Semelsberger. The catch: only one of his recent opponents held a winning record, so the level jumps sharply here.

Darby answers with his own six-fight run — five by finish — and a six-foot-three frame that's tough to solve at 170. He's the latest export from Cage Warriors, the England-based promotion that already sent a fighter to a contract earlier this season. If size and momentum mean anything, this one's live.

Two Streaks Worth Watching

Liam McCracken carries the best highlight reel of the night. The 24-year-old Scouser has finished all eight of his professional wins and rides a five-fight streak, roughly three years removed from an accident that nearly ended his career. His only loss came to touted French prospect Asaël Adjouj. He meets Mexico's Silvestre Sanchez.

Then there's Brandon Holmes, back for a second crack after dropping his first appearance to returning fighter Cam Rowston — now 15-3 and booked against Abus Magomedov at UFC 333. Holmes bounced back with a first-round stoppage of Preston LaGrange and draws 22-year-old Brazilian Modestino Rodrigues, who owns a 7-1 record and a 100% finish rate but hasn't fought MMA in 14 months after a detour into K-1 kickboxing. On paper, both men have plenty to prove — and everything to gain.
