Week 4 of Dana White's Contender Series Season 10 delivered a clean sweep at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas on Tuesday night: all five winners walked out with UFC contracts. That's now four straight weeks of full houses on the contract sheet, and White made no secret afterward that the class of prospects is running hot as the show marks its tenth year.

The night's most talked-about moment took just 15 seconds — Modestino Rodrigues flattening Brandon Holmes — but it was the officiating around it that dominated White's post-fight comments. He tore into referee Chris Tognioni for what he called the worst stoppage he's seen, arguing Holmes ate roughly eight extra punches after his mouthpiece popped out. On the flip side, White felt Tognioni was slow to wave off Gabriel Lorenco's finish of Charlie Cleveland later in the evening.

Silvestre Sanchez nearly talked himself out of a deal in White's head. The featured bout belonged to Ireland's Adam Darby, who methodically dismantled Patrick Rivera for a doctor-stoppage TKO. White predicted a first-round leg-kick finish before realizing, in his words, that Rivera was a cyborg — the opponent never limped, never switched stance, and kept marching forward. White called it a masterclass and praised referee Kerry Hatley's timing on the stoppage. He also noted that in UFC terms, Darby's leg-kick output would rank second-most ever in the welterweight division, behind Carlos Condit against Nick Diaz.

Bella Mir and a Bad Beat

White also addressed last week's shock, when Bella Mir dropped her main event to Alex Apocada. He said he called her the moment he got in his car and found her in a good headspace — she reminded him she's lost jiu-jitsu and wrestling matches before, knows how it feels, and plans to be back.

As for Holmes, twice burned by early stoppages across two Contender Series appearances, White didn't hesitate when asked about a third crack: the UFC owes him one. Meanwhile, the business side keeps humming.
