Dana White Backs Bella Mir to Chase Four Titles Across Four Sports

Dana White thinks Bella Mir can win championships in four different combat sports, and he's not being coy about it. The 23-year-old daughter of former UFC heavyweight champ Frank Mir is 4-0 as a pro and steps onto Dana White's Contender Series on Aug. 25 against Alex Apodaca, with a UFC contract on the line. According to White, Mir has told him she wants gold in the UFC, the Olympics, Zuffa Boxing and UFC BJJ.

That's an audacious list for someone who's fought only four times as a pro since 2022, but the résumé outside the cage is already loaded. This past March, Mir upset Reese Larramendy in the NCAA final to become a Division I wrestling champion at 145 pounds. She's been in the UFC orbit since 2023, when she signed on as the promotion's first-ever NIL ambassador during her freshman year at Iowa.

White says he's been closely involved in Mir's career for four years, and that he was the one who pushed her toward a college education when she wanted to turn pro straight out of high school. He describes her as laser-focused and, in his telling, so unusually gifted that she'd win jiu-jitsu tournaments over school breaks while training exclusively for wrestling.

The comparisons to her father are unavoidable, and not unflattering. Frank Mir was a submission specialist who captured UFC heavyweight gold at 25 before a motorcycle crash forced him to vacate the belt. He hung around the top of the division for a decade and picked up an interim title in 2008. Bella has already started her own trophy case earlier in life than he did his.

What a Win Actually Buys Her

Here's the reality check: even a highlight-reel performance against Apodaca doesn't guarantee a signing. White floated the possibility of a 2026 deal, but at 23 with limited MMA reps, a developmental contract is the likelier path than an immediate spot on the main roster. That's not a knock — it's the sensible move for a prospect with this much runway.

White made clear he's excited about the project, saying he's watched Mir grow up over the past four years and wants to see where it goes. The four-belt goal may read like a wish list today. But given she's already collected an NCAA title and an unblemished pro record, betting against her focus feels premature.
