Daniel Dubois Wants Tyson Fury Next — But Has to Get Through February First
Dubois settled the Wardley rematch in two rounds and now has his eyes on a Fury unification. First, Kabayel or Parker likely await in February.

Daniel Dubois didn't need long to make the point. Five months after edging Fabio Wardley in a Fight of the Year candidate in Manchester, the WBO heavyweight champion erased any doubt in the rematch on Saturday, needing only two rounds to put the Ipswich man away. It takes Dubois to 23-3 with 22 knockouts — a finish rate that reads less like a boxing record and more like a warning.
With Wardley's rematch clause now spent, Dubois is already shopping for the biggest name available. He told Sky Sports he wants Tyson Fury, framing it as the one fight left to complete a run through his entire era. The catch: Fury first has to get past Anthony Joshua in December and claim the WBA (Super) belt before any unification talk becomes real.
The Fury Dream
Dubois called a potential Fury fight ground-breaking and the next level of his career, insisting he's now shared the ring with everyone from this generation of heavyweights. He expects Fury to want it, and reckons promoter Frank Warren would jump at making it. He's also realistic enough to add the obvious caveat — see how Fury handles Joshua first.
That Joshua fight is its own question mark. AJ, now 29-4 (26 KO), is unranked and coming off a sixth-round knockout of Jake Paul, hardly the kind of résumé line that settles the heavyweight pecking order. If Fury loses in December, the whole unification picture shifts, and Dubois's dream opponent disappears with it.
February Comes First
Realistically, Fury isn't next. Dubois is being linked to a return as early as February, and the names in the frame are considerably harder to ignore. WBC champion Agit Kabayel, a perfect 27-0 (19 KO) fresh off a third-round stoppage of Damian Knyba, is one frontrunner. Joseph Parker is the other.
Either booking would be a genuine unification or a step toward one, which tells you where Dubois sits right now: the man everyone in the division has to go through. The Fury talk is the headline, but Kabayel and Parker are the reality. Dubois has earned the right to dream big — he just has to survive the queue first.
