DWCS Season 10 Episode 9: A UFC Runner Gets His Shot and a Late-Notice Gamble
Five fights, one UFC contract each on October 6 — including a 4-0 Vegas native who went from stocking Dana White's fridge to the Octagon.

Season 10 of Dana White's Contender Series is down to its closing weeks, and Episode 9 lands with a wrinkle you don't see often: one of the fighters already works for the company. Salhahuddin "Bundy" Everett, a 29-year-old Las Vegas native sitting at 4-0, started in the UFC mailroom, moved through corporate security, and ended up as Dana White's personal runner. He got the news he'd be fighting on the show, by his telling, while stocking White's fridge.
Five bouts run at the Apex on October 6, kicking off at 7:00 p.m. ET / 4:00 p.m. PT on Paramount+, each one a straight audition for a UFC deal. Everett's numbers back up the story that he's more than a feel-good novelty — none of his four pro fights have gone longer than three minutes. He faces Ozzy "Toro" Martin, a 24-year-old also sitting undefeated at 4-0 with four knockouts, plus clean records in pro boxing and kickboxing. Martin inherited the bull nickname from his kickboxer father and says he plans to show off grappling nobody expects.
The Late-Notice Gamble
The headline risk of the night belongs to Preston LaGrange. The 27-year-old from Cedar Rapids is 6-1 with a 100% finish rate, but he's taking his DWCS debut against Nell Ariano up at light heavyweight — on two weeks' notice. That's a real leap for a middleweight. LaGrange leans on speed, cardio and a wrestling base, and he's betting those travel up a division.
Ariano is no easy landing spot for that gamble. The 31-year-old Paris native is a judo black belt who represented France for nearly a decade, and he's 6-0 with four knockouts. His backstory carries weight too: he survived a stroke at 27 and now fights with his father battling cancer, saying he won't give up on the dream.
Striking Battles and Second Chances
Elsewhere, karate-based Ryuho Miyaguchi (7-1, six KOs) gets a surprise second chance after a submission loss at Road to UFC in May rattled him. He meets Brazil's Mateus Soares, a 22-year-old 11-2 bantamweight out of Rio who models himself on José Aldo. Both expect a firefight, and both are promising a finish.
The card also features two fighters back for a second DWCS crack after losing the first. Roque Conceição returns with a 10-3 ledger (7 KO, 2 SUB per FightSplit's records), his last outing a first-round TKO loss to Imanol Rodriguez. He draws Peru's Alexander "Panchita" Chávez, a high-output Muay Thai specialist also chasing redemption. For everyone here, the math is simple: one performance, one contract, no second guesses.
