The O2 card built around Moses Itauma and Filip Hrgovic just got a late addition, and it's a genuine test of a rising British heavyweight. Unbeaten Welshman Moses Jolly, 12-0 with 8 knockouts, has been slotted in against world-ranked Italian Guido Vianello for the August 29 show in London. It's a clear step up in class for the 30-year-old, and exactly the kind of fight that either makes or unmakes a prospect.

Vianello isn't a name to take lightly. He sits at #12 with the IBF and #14 with the WBC, and he holds a stoppage win over Arslanbek Makhmudov — the same Makhmudov who shared a ring with Tyson Fury. For Jolly, beating him would be more than an upset; it'd be a passport into the fringes of contention in a division suddenly full of open lanes.

Why the Division Is Wide Open

The whole card exists in the vacuum left by Oleksandr Usyk. The lineal champ, 25-0 with 16 knockouts, vacated his unified belts, and the scramble to fill them is underway. The headliner puts the vacant IBF strap on the table between Itauma and Hrgovic, and everyone below is angling for the next opening.

Itauma is the story that draws the eyes. He's 14-0 with 12 stoppages — an 86% finish rate — and coming off a fifth-round TKO of Jermaine Franklin. Win on the 29th and he becomes the second-youngest heavyweight world champion in history. That's the kind of number that pulls a casual crowd toward a Saturday night in London.

The undercard has more than curiosity fights, too. Sam Noakes, 18-1 with 16 knockouts and the #9-ranked lightweight, takes on former titlist Denys Berinchyk, who's 19-1 and rebuilding after a fourth-round stoppage loss to Keyshawn Davis. Add a British and Commonwealth welterweight title fight between Constantin Ursu and Ben Vaughan, plus Alous Youmbi against Mike Perez, and the depth is there.

For Jolly, the math is simple and brutal. He's never faced anyone with Vianello's résumé, and a loss stalls a perfect record built quietly against lesser opposition. But if he pulls it off in front of a big O2 audience on DAZN, he announces himself to a heavyweight scene that's actively looking for new faces.
