Jarrell Miller Picks Fury Over Joshua — But Says He'd KO Both

Jarrell Miller isn't shy, and he isn't hedging. Asked to call the long-teased heavyweight showdown between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua — currently penciled for November 20 — the American told FightHype he sees Fury getting his hand raised. Then he added the caveat every promoter loves and no matchmaker enjoys: he'd flatten both men if given the chance, and he still wants the Joshua payday.

The numbers give Miller's lean some backing. Fury sits at 36-2-1 (25 KO) and ranked #3, coming off a seventh-round retirement stoppage of Mariusz Wach in July. Joshua, unranked and 29-4 (26 KO), had a far rockier tune-up — Kristian Prenga dropped him twice in the opening round before AJ recovered to stop him inside three more minutes. That kind of early wobble is exactly why the betting public has drifted toward the Gypsy King.

The 'AJ Money' History

There's real history behind Miller's fixation on Joshua. Back in 2019 he was slated to face AJ at Madison Square Garden, only to test positive for multiple banned substances and get yanked from the card. His replacement, Andy Ruiz Jr, then handed Joshua a seventh-round stoppage that reshaped the division. Miller never cashed that check — and he clearly hasn't forgotten it.

So when Miller says he likes Fury but wants the 'AJ money,' it's less a prediction than a pitch. He's positioning himself for whoever comes out the other side, assuming this fight even happens.

Location Drama Won't Die

And that's the catch. The bout still hangs on a venue standoff. Joshua and Matchroom's Eddie Hearn are holding firm on staging it in the UK per the original agreement, while nearly everyone else is angling for Madison Square Garden and the bigger US gate. Hearn recently suggested the UK is back on the table — then threatened a legal letter to Dana White's TKO for allegedly approaching Joshua directly to force the New York play.

Miller, for his part, has more immediate business. He's reportedly first in line for WBA 'Regular' champion Murat Gassiev — a 34-2 (27 KO) operator fresh off a sixth-round stoppage of Peter Kadiru — with talks said to be underway. Win that, and Miller's calls for Fury or Joshua stop sounding like noise and start sounding like a mandatory.
