Moreno (24-10-2) is still Moreno — durable, relentless, a nightmare to put away — but a split nod over a debut-level name isn't the sort of result that fast-tracks anyone back toward gold.

Curtis Blaydes did Curtis Blaydes things, taking a unanimous decision over Waldo Cortes Acosta to move to 20-6 in the heavyweight division. It goes on the ledger. In the bantamweight opener of the main card, David Martinez was the more eye-catching name, handing Dan Ige a unanimous-decision loss to climb to 15-1. Ige (19-12) remains the ultimate gatekeeper, and Martinez passed the test convincingly.

The other featherweight bout kept a perfect record intact: Tommy McMillen beat Marwan Rahiki by unanimous decision to move to 12-0. Rahiki (9-1) came in with eight knockouts on his nine wins and couldn't land the one that mattered, tasting his first professional defeat.

There was an upset down there too. Tommy Gantt caught Drakkar Klose in a third-round triangle choke to preserve his 13-0 record, submitting a far more experienced lightweight.
