Namo Fazil Headlines DWCS Week 2 With a 10-1 Record and Seven-Fight Streak

The 10th season of Dana White's Contender Series rolls into its second episode Tuesday at the Meta APEX, and it saves its biggest name for last. Namo Fazil, 29, carries a 10-1 record and a seven-fight winning streak into the main slot, where he meets returning Brazilian Kaik Brito with a UFC contract on the line.

Fazil is one of the most complete résumés on the card. He's finished eight of his 10 wins and hasn't lost since the summer of 2022, a run that includes a May victory over Jake Babian in Los Angeles. Born in Finland and fighting under the Kurdistan banner out of Tiger Muay Thai, he's said he wants this platform to do more than book his own UFC ticket — he's aiming to raise the profile of the Kurdish people.

Brito is no easy out. His UFC-database record sits at 19-6 with 16 knockouts, and his last outing was a majority-decision loss to Oban Elliott back in Season 7. He's rebuilt since, going 3-1 with finishes in all three wins, capped by a third-round stoppage of Ronald Paradeiser in February to claim the Oktagon MMA welterweight title.

The Momentum vs. Experience Split

It's a clean stylistic tension. Fazil owns the momentum and the higher win rate; Brito owns the tougher schedule, having sharpened up against some of Europe's best. Welterweights went a perfect 3-for-3 on contract night last season, so this year's first crop of 170-pounders has a standard to match.

The rest of the card leans on finishers. Douglas Rodrigues has won five straight since his lone career loss, four by stoppage, and steps in against Xtreme Couture's Trent Miller in a middleweight bout — with Rodrigues's first child due next month adding weight to the moment. Miller returns after being stopped in the first round by Ryan Gandra last season; Gandra, now 10-1 with seven KOs in the UFC, next faces Ozzy Diaz at UFC 331.

Elsewhere, Denver lightweight Logan Paxton brings arguably the scariest numbers on the sheet: a 10-1 record, a nine-fight winning streak and a 90-percent finish rate, against returning Mexican prospect Cristian Perez. Week 1 sent four of five winners to the UFC — including former Jets linebacker Anthony Wint, now 7-0, who debuts this weekend in Sacramento. The bar's already set high.
