Paul Felder is getting promoted to the big chair this weekend. Promotional officials have confirmed that Felder will fill in for Joe Rogan on the UFC 333 broadcast, joining Jon Anik and Daniel Cormier at the main table for Saturday's pay-per-view at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi. The entire card streams on Paramount+.

The headliner is a big one: Alexander Volkanovski, 28-4 with 13 knockouts and three submissions, puts his featherweight title on the line against top contender Movsar Evloev. Felder's call starts when the main card kicks off at 2 p.m. ET, following early prelims at 10 a.m. and a featured prelim slate at noon.

Felder stepping in for Rogan isn't unusual anymore. The former lightweight has become one of the company's most reliable analysts since hanging up the gloves, and he handled commentary duties on the international broadcast back in February in Riyadh. This time he's on the primary feed for a numbered event, which is a step up in profile.

The Supporting Cast

Bruce Buffer handles ring announcing, John Gooden works as roving reporter, and Brendan Fitzgerald anchors the analyst desk. He'll be flanked by former middleweight champ Robert Whittaker and longtime coach Din Thomas, giving the pre- and post-fight panels plenty of championship pedigree.

What's on the Card

Beyond the Volkanovski-Evloev headliner, the co-main is a bantamweight trilogy with real stakes: Petr Yan defending his belt against Merab Dvalishvili. The featured prelims close with a light heavyweight scrap between Dominick Reyes and Azamat Murzakanov, the No. 8-ranked 205-pounder who sits at 16-1 with 12 knockouts despite dropping his last outing to Paulo Costa by third-round TKO.

It's a stacked night on paper, and Felder gets to narrate most of it. For a broadcast team missing its most famous voice, that's a dependable hand on the wheel.
