Tommy McMillen vs. Marwan Rahiki: Two Undefeated Prospects Collide at Noche UFC

Tommy McMillen asked for a fight on Noche UFC. He's getting one — against maybe the last guy on the roster you'd pick for an easy night. The 28-year-old teammate of former bantamweight champ Sean O'Malley meets fellow unbeaten prospect Marwan Rahiki on Sept. 12 in Glendale, Arizona, a matchup confirmed by broadcast partner Paramount+.

Both men arrive with clean records and a habit of ending fights early. McMillen earned this shot the hard way, stopping Alberto Montes in the third round at UFC Oklahoma City in July — Montes, now 12-2, had never been knocked out before. Rahiki, four years younger at 24, has yet to see a judge's scorecard in the octagon.

How McMillen Got Here

The rise has been fast. "Gun" locked up his UFC deal on the Contender Series last September, then made good on the hype with a first-round finish of Manolo Zecchini at UFC Vegas 115 in April. The Montes result followed in July, and McMillen publicly campaigned for a slot on the promotion's annual Mexican Independence Day card. He said he wanted to fight in front of a big crowd, and the UFC obliged.

The catch is the opponent. Rahiki isn't a soft touch handed to a favored prospect — he's a live wire who's built his early buzz on aggression. He blew through Harry Hardwick, a 13-5-1 veteran, via second-round TKO, then added a stoppage of Ollie Schmid. That's two finishes to open a UFC career, and it makes this a genuine prospect-versus-prospect toss-up rather than a showcase.

For McMillen, the math is simple: beat an undefeated finisher on a marquee card and the O'Malley comparisons start feeling earned rather than borrowed. Lose, and he's the one whose momentum stalls. There's no in-between fight here for either guy.

Noche UFC is topped by a featherweight banger between Jean Silva and Yair Rodriguez, so McMillen and Rahiki will be scrapping for the highlight reel on a card that already promises fireworks up top. Given how both of them fight, they might just steal it.
