UFC 332 Heads Back to Salt Lake City for Oct. 3 Card

The UFC is back in Utah. UFC 332 lands at Delta Center in Salt Lake City on Oct. 3, marking the promotion's fifth trip to the city and its first there since UFC 307 in October 2024.

It's one of two numbered cards stacked into October. UFC 333 follows at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, and — as things stand — neither event has a main event locked in. That's a lot of headline real estate still up for grabs this deep into the calendar.

The last time the Octagon set up shop in Salt Lake City, Alex Pereira turned in one of his signature performances. He stopped a bloodied Khalil Rountree Jr. in the fourth round to bank a third straight light heavyweight title defense. Pereira, now sitting at #3 in the division with a 13-4 record and 11 of those wins by knockout, has since dropped the belt — a second-round TKO loss to Ciryl Gane — and is being lined up for a title eliminator against an opponent yet to be named.

The 307 Fallout

Rountree hasn't fared much better since that Utah night. He's currently #5 at 205 pounds on a 15-7 ledger, but his most recent outing ended in a third-round TKO against Jiří Procházka. Both men who headlined the last SLC card are rebuilding.

The UFC 307 co-main also produced a title moment: Julianna Peña edged Raquel Pennington by split decision to become a two-time bantamweight champion. Peña now holds the #1 spot in the women's division at 13-6, though her last appearance was a rough one — a second-round kimura submission loss to Kayla Harrison.

So the venue has history, and recent history at that. Whether UFC 332 gets a title fight or a marquee headliner to match its predecessor is the obvious question. For now, the date and the building are the story — and there's plenty of room left on the marquee.
