UFC is moving into the protein-bar aisle. The promotion and FoodStory Brands announced on September 16, 2026 the launch of Main Event, a co-owned performance nutrition line built over an 18-month stretch alongside the UFC Performance Institute. The pitch is simple: bring the same sports science that fuels fighters into your gym bag.
The numbers are where it gets interesting. Each bar carries 5g of fiber — which the companies say is two to three times what many comparable protein bars offer — with just 3g of sugar and zero sugar alcohols. There are no artificial sweeteners and no seed oils, plus a functional blend of L-theanine for focus and tart cherry aimed at muscle recovery.
Who Built It
The formulation didn't come from a marketing brainstorm. Dr. Duncan French, the UFC PI's Senior Vice President, said his team refused to settle for a standard protein bar, vetting every macro, gram of fiber and functional ingredient against evidence-based performance standards. That's the same institute that handles training, research, rehab and nutrition for the roster.
FoodStory's Jordan Jedeikin framed the product as more than a snack, calling it a daily performance tool designed to erase the usual trade-off between good macros, real benefits and taste. The deal itself was packaged by IMG Licensing, and it's a genuine co-ownership arrangement rather than a straight endorsement play.
Where To Get It
Main Event bars are on sale now through maineventprotein.com, with retail rolling out this fall. That includes Hy-Vee, Wegmans, Jewel Osco and Smith's Food and Drug. Whether the science holds up to the marketing is something you'll decide at the checkout — but for once, a fighter-branded product actually shows its formulation homework.
