Nobody hands you anything at middleweight. Marvin Vettori — "The Italian Dream" to fight fans — has built a 19-10 record the hard way, one fight at a time since leaving Italy's regional scene.
A submission threat first and always — 9 taps forced in 19 wins. Every exchange on the mat carries a trap door. Add the southpaw stance, and the puzzle gets harder still.
The last fight went to Brunno Ferreira (Decision - Unanimous) — a setback, and the interesting question is always what a fighter does with one.
