Arman Tsarukyan already sits at No. 2 in the UFC's stacked lightweight division with a 24-3 record and 11 wins in his last 12 trips to the Octagon. On Friday in Las Vegas he added something else to the collection: an RAF crossover title, taken off Dillon Danis in a lopsided wrestling match that never looked like a contest.

Now he's got a bigger name in his sights. Tsarukyan told reporters afterward that his plan is to hunt down marquee MMA talent on the RAF grappling circuit, and the one he'd love most is a 44-year-old who hasn't competed since 2017: Georges St-Pierre. If the promotion can lure GSP out of retirement, Tsarukyan said he'd happily take the match.

A Title He Actually Cares About

You might expect a man who's beaten Charles Oliveira, Dan Hooker, Beneil Dariush and Mauricio Ruffy to shrug off a wrestling belt. He didn't. Tsarukyan called this win his top-ranked achievement because, simply, it came with gold around his waist. Danis may not be the stiffest grappling test he's faced, but the following and the eyeballs that come with the name mattered to him.

The résumé backs up why he's RAF's pick to lead the brand. Oliveira sits at No. 3 in the UFC with 37 wins, Hooker at No. 9, Dariush at No. 14. Tsarukyan's beaten all of them, and his last UFC outing was a first-round KO of Ruffy. That's a real lightweight contender moonlighting in a grappling promotion.

Danis, the Stomp, and What's Next

The buildup carried the usual RAF chaos. Tsarukyan and Danis got physical before the match, and the tension spilled over when Tsarukyan stepped on Danis after the bell. He's not losing sleep over it. As far as he's concerned the beef is done, and he suggested Danis understands what would happen if he tried anything further.

RAF clearly wants Tsarukyan front and center. A co-founder announced the promotion is targeting an event in Armenia for January, hinging on Tsarukyan being free to headline. Given the support Armenian fans have shown the brand, it reads less like a maybe and more like a destination already circled on the calendar.

Whether GSP ever says yes is another question entirely. St-Pierre has stayed retired and shown little interest in competitive returns. But Tsarukyan laid out the pitch clearly: bring in the best names, wrestle them all, and keep defending the belt as often as possible. For now, the title's real, the Armenia trip looks close, and the wishlist is pointed at a legend.
