Contender Series Season 10 Lands on Paramount+ Aug 11 With 4 Champs to Its Name

Dana White's Contender Series hits its 10th season on Tuesday, August 11, and it's doing so on a new home: Paramount+. The 10-episode run airs Tuesdays at 7pm ET / 4pm PT from the Meta APEX in Las Vegas, with a fresh batch of unsigned fighters throwing hands in front of Dana White and the UFC matchmakers for a contract.

The pitch hasn't changed, and the receipts back it up. DWCS has already produced four UFC champions, including current light heavyweight titleholder Carlos Ulberg, who sits at 15-1 with 10 knockouts and most recently starched Jiří Procházka in the first round. Sean O'Malley, Jack Della Maddalena and Jamahal Hill round out that championship class.

Why the Show Still Matters

Beyond the belts, the show keeps churning out ranked talent. Carlos Prates, now the No. 2 welterweight at 24-7 with 19 KOs, came through the pipeline and recently handed Della Maddalena a third-round TKO. Bo Nickal (9-1, currently No. 14 at middleweight), Josh Hokit and Joe Pyfer are among the other names who used the platform as a launchpad. When roughly one in every batch turns into a fixture, prospects pay attention.

The First Two Weeks

Week 1 leads with a heavyweight scrap between Anthony Wint and Matt Adams, plus Jon Kunneman vs Joseph Kropschot at middleweight, Thomas Pagliarulo against Ananias Mulumba at featherweight, Bilal Hasan vs Mridul Saikia at flyweight, and Fabrizio Escarrega taking on Abe Alsaghir at lightweight.

Week 2 features Roman Puga vs Taner Trembley at featherweight, Alik Lorenz against Mahamed Aly at light heavyweight, Logan Paxton vs Cristian Perez Gonzalez at lightweight, Douglas Rodrigues vs Trent Miller at middleweight, and a welterweight bout between Namo Fazil and Kaik Brito. Weeks 3 through 10 are still to be announced.

The format rewards decisiveness. A close decision rarely gets you signed here; White wants finishes and statement performances, which is exactly why the show's alumni skew toward high-output finishers.
