DWCS Season 10 Episode 6: Five Bouts, 10 Fighters, One Shot at the UFC

Dana White's Contender Series rolls into its sixth Season 10 episode on September 15, and the numbers on this five-bout card do a lot of the talking. Ten fighters walk into the Apex knowing a single clean performance can turn into a UFC contract, and at least three of them arrive with finish rates that make the matchmakers' job easy. Episode 6 leans hard into pressure and stoppages rather than point-scoring.

Start with Luis Hernandez, a 30-year-old who's a perfect 7-0 as a pro and has never let a judge touch his fights. His 100% finish rate breaks down into three knockouts and four submissions, and he already owns a Combat Night title at 185 pounds. He fights out of Freedom Fighters MMA and Kill Cliff FC — and moonlights as a Miami-Dade deputy sheriff, which is where the whole 'law and order in the Octagon' pitch comes from.

The Finishers

If Hernandez sets the bar, Igor Cavalcanti threatens to raise it. The 28-year-old Infinity Fight Team man is 13-2 with every single victory coming by stoppage — 10 knockouts, three submissions. He's a Welterweight in the FightSplit database, currently unranked, and he's coming off a unanimous decision loss to Seokhyeon Ko, so there's a real bounce-back angle here. Cavalcanti refuses to commit to one style and prefers to punish mistakes, which suits a one-night audition.

His opponent, Peru's Oscar 'El Punisher' Ravello, sits at 13-3-1 with a background sprawling across Taekwondo, Muay Thai and Jiu-Jitsu. Ravello says he's calm outside the cage and a different animal inside it, and he's framed this bout as a step toward a destiny he's visualized rather than something to fear. He wants a fast finish, KO or submission, and calls himself the best nightmare in Latin America. Between him and Cavalcanti, expect fireworks.

A Story Worth Watching

France's Hugo 'The White Walker' Guillon brings the card's most compelling backstory alongside a 7-1 record built on early violence — five of his seven wins come in round one. He trained at CIT in South Africa as a sparring partner for middleweight champion Dricus Du Plessis, who's 24-3 (9 KO, 11 SUB) and coming off a decision win over Kamaru Usman. Guillon, who slept in his gym during COVID to chase this, says he's fighting to honor his late father, Pierre.

That's the appeal of DWCS in one card: raw finishers with something to prove and stories that give the audition real weight. Episode 6 lands Tuesday on Paramount+, 7pm ET from the Apex, with White and his matchmakers deciding who walks away with a contract and who goes home. On paper, the fighters most likely to force his hand are the ones who don't leave it to the judges.
