Ellie Scotney Injury Scraps MVPW-07 Co-Main vs Tiara Brown
Scotney's featherweight title clash with Brown is off for the Nov. 8 card, bumping Ramla Ali vs unbeaten Mikiah Kreps into the co-main slot.

Most Valuable Promotions has lost its featherweight title co-main for the Nov. 8 MVPW-07 card. Ellie Scotney has been pulled from her scheduled bout against Tiara Brown after suffering an injury in the lead-up, the promotion confirmed. No details on the nature or severity of the injury have been released.
With Scotney out, the show reshuffles rather than shrinks. Ramla Ali vs Mikiah Kreps now steps up to co-main status, and the stakes just jumped: the pair will fight for the vacant WBO and IBF junior featherweight belts. Alycia Baumgardner vs Elif Nur Turhan remains at the top of the bill.
MVP co-founders Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian wished Scotney a quick recovery and said they expect to see both her and Brown back in the ring soon. Crucially, they framed this as a postponement rather than a cancellation, so the Scotney-Brown matchup isn't dead — just parked.
A Door Opens for Ali
The promoters didn't downplay what this means for Ali, calling the Kreps fight the biggest opportunity of her professional career. That's not hype for its own sake. Fighting for two vacant world titles against an undefeated opponent is a genuine step up, and it's the kind of slot that doesn't come around on short notice.
Kreps brings an unbeaten record into the bout, which is the real complication for Ali. Taking a late promotion to co-main is one thing; doing it against someone who hasn't lost yet, with two belts on the line, is another entirely. For a fighter who's spent years grinding toward this level, it's a high-risk, high-reward gamble.
MVP says it's also adding talent to the preliminary portion of the card to keep the value intact for ticket-buyers and streamers. Losing a title co-main three weeks out could gut a lineup, but elevating Ali-Kreps for a pair of vacant straps softens the blow considerably. The headline act stays put, the stakes elsewhere go up, and Scotney gets time to heal before Brown gets her second crack.
