The UFC heads back to Doha on November 21, and it's doing it with a genuine crossroads fight on top. Former light heavyweight champion and No. 2-ranked Jiří Procházka (32-6-1, 28 KOs) takes on undefeated No. 5-ranked contender Navajo Stirling (11-0) in a five-round main event at ABHA Arena, the same building that sold out for the promotion's Qatar debut a year ago.

This is Procházka's first walk to the Octagon since April. The Brno native built his legend on chaos — 28 of his 32 wins come by knockout — and he captured the belt with a fifth-round submission of Glover Teixeira at UFC 275 back in 2022 before injury forced him to vacate. He's said he wants a finish here to shove himself back into the title conversation.

The Problem Across the Cage

Stirling isn't a tune-up. The Auckland product has gone 6-0 since earning his contract on Dana White's Contender Series in 2024, and he's stopped all three of his opponents in 2026. The headline result on that run: a first-round finish of former champion Jan Błachowicz in August. Beat Procházka and Stirling adds a second ex-champ to a spotless ledger, with the top of the division suddenly in view.

The matchup writes itself. Procházka's power and output against an unbeaten hitter who hasn't needed the scorecards all year. For the Czech, a loss here likely closes the title window for good. For Stirling, this is the leap from promising prospect to legitimate contender.

A Featherweight Cross-Up Underneath

The co-main is nearly as compelling. Former bantamweight champion and No. 4-ranked featherweight Aljamain Sterling (26-5) faces No. 9-ranked Kevin Vallejos (18-1), who's on a seven-fight winning streak. Sterling defended the 135-pound belt three times before moving up, and he's gone 3-1 at 145, most recently out-pointing Youssef Zalal by unanimous decision in April.

Vallejos has been the more violent story. The Buenos Aires fighter is 4-0 in the UFC with knockouts over Giga Chikadze and Josh Emmett, exactly the kind of resume that turns a No. 9 ranking into something higher in a hurry. Sterling's grappling against Vallejos's power is a clean stylistic clash, and the winner leapfrogs toward the pointy end of a crowded division.

Tickets are already on sale through the Visit Qatar platform. Given last year's inaugural card sold out, fans planning to be in Doha probably shouldn't wait around.
