The fourth Noche UFC lands at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale this Saturday, and the main event got rewritten late. Brazil's Jean Silva, ranked No. 6 at featherweight, was supposed to meet former interim champ Yair Rodriguez. An undisclosed injury pulled Rodriguez off the card, and Arizona's own Jose Miguel Delgado stepped in on short notice to headline in his home state.

Delgado is 28, unranked, and 2-0 this year — a narrow decision over Andre Fili followed by a July beating of Austin Bashi. He arrives with a height and reach edge, a stated plan to knock Silva out, and a chin that's held up when the fire gets hot. Silva, meanwhile, is fighting his second straight Noche UFC main event.

The Contender's Rebound

Silva's last time headlining one of these cards didn't end well. Facing Diego Lopes in San Antonio, he was in a three-swing brawl before getting cracked with a spinning back elbow and stopped inside 10 minutes. He steadied himself in January with a win over Arnold Allen — now the division's No. 7 — but a loss to an unranked short-notice replacement would sting the rankings and the reputation.

Moreno Needs a Steadying Win

The co-headliner carries its own weight. Former two-time flyweight champion Brandon Moreno makes his first-ever Noche UFC appearance and returns to Glendale, where he first won the belt at UFC 263. Since that night he's gone 4-5 across nine fights and lost his last two, and the questions about whether he's still a contender are getting louder.

He draws Joseph Morales, the TUF 33 winner who went 1-2 in his first UFC run before injuries and inactivity stalled him. Morales earned his roster spot back with a second-round submission of Alibi Idiris at UFC 319, then followed with a first-round guillotine on Matt Schnell in November. Beat Moreno and he's knocking on the rankings door — the biggest win of his career and a rough one for a fading former champ.
